2008 Crossroads

This interdisciplinary long-term cooperation art project from "slap" (social land art project) with the Б’Art as an “Exhibition in progress”. It was derived from German approaches to ecological art and the nomadic culture of Kyrgyzstan was adopted as a theme. A goal is to formulate comprehensive international issues , discussions and themes relevant to art and ecology based on local contexts and shows artistic positions, which critically look into the relations of men to nature during the ecological changes. The integration of such works changes the exhibition of German positions into an active cultural exchange with Kyrgyz artists and people. A lecture "a medial perspective to ecological questions: global developments, local responsibilities" and a seminar are holded by Sabine Himmelsbach (director of Edith-Russ-Site for Media Art, Oldenburg)
